When Panattoni Development Company, Inc. named JLL the exclusive leasing agent for Lambert Farms Logistics Park south of Atlanta in 2014, JLL’s Wit Truitt predicted the new industrial park, situated just off I-75 in Henry County, Georgia, would be a big success.
“The Lambert Farms Logistics Park is perfectly poised to thrive for years to come,” Truitt said in October 2014. “Large blocks of Class A industrial space already are in short supply in metro Atlanta, and as the economy improves and distribution activity picks up, the demand for these kinds of properties will only rise. This assignment represents a tremendous opportunity for our team.”
He was right.
Just last week, Panattoni and JLL announced the commencement of an additional 1.55 million square feet of logistics space – two-thirds of which is preleased to an international company. This new activity comes in the heels of luxury women’s accessories and apparel company Tory Burch picking Lambert Farms as the site for its new distribution center. The $60 million, 753,000-square-foot center is scheduled to open late this year and add 150 new jobs to Georgia by 2020.
Lambert Farms’ success can be attributed to several factors. One is the logistics park’s location on I-75, only 25 miles south of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and on the way to and from the Georgia Ports Authority’s import centers in Savannah. A second is the availability of new, state-of-the-art logistics space at Lambert Farms. Tory Burch sought a large Class A industrial bloc, and they found one ready to go at Lambert Farms.
“Lambert Farms continues to attract interest from blue-chip companies, and Panattoni is pleased to be expanding the project once again,” said Dayne Pryor, Partner at Panattoni. “The large lease and additional spec development is a testament to Lambert Farms’ and Henry County’s position as a preferred location for major logistics facilities.”
Led by Executive Vice President Truitt, Senior Vice President Chris Tomasulo, and Vice President Reed Davis, the JLL team is currently marketing the spec portion of the project. Truitt and team expect to maintain the momentum at Lambert Farms.
“This latest lease continues the momentum Panattoni has created at Lambert Farms,” Truitt said. “Corporate America really likes the development’s location as an ideal spot for both distribution and e-commerce users.”
