In its latest edition, the Atlanta Business Chronicle published renderings of the future Armour Yards project in an industrial area of Atlanta known as the Sweetwater Design District, which will be leased by JLL and developed by real estate development and investment firm Third & Urban.
JLL’s Jeff Bellamy, Brooke Dewey and Liz Koteles are the primary leasing brokers of the $75 million project, which is expected to be over 300,000 square feet when completed. The seven warehouse buildings along Armour and Ottley drives will be transformed from in-town warehouse buildings into a hip community of offices for media and technology companies, as well as chef-driven restaurants and a coffee shop. Plans include a music venue, a two-year street art series, jogging trails and other fitness amenities.
The centrally located site provides access to the vibrant neighborhoods of Buckhead and Midtown as well as I-85 and the future Atlanta BeltLine loop, appealing to TAMI (tech, advertising, media and information) office tenants who look for community-oriented urban space. The redevelopment will be completed in late 2016.
